Here's an easy, EASY story for kids about yesterdays' Thai women's volleyball match against Cuba. 

Thai players are happy after their win over Cuba.

19:30  Hi kids. I'm sorry to report that Brazil beat Thailand in today's women's volleyball match 25-16, 25-12, 25-18. Brazil has a very strong team, however, so this was not a surprise.

Thailand beats Cuba in volleyball.

Thailand's women's volleyball team won their match against Cuba yesterday in Bangkok.

The Thai team lost the first set 23-25 but then won the next three sets 25-21, 25-21 and 25-13.

The Thai players are much shorter than the Cuba players but they made fewer mistakes.

Today, the Thai team will play Brazil. Brazil has one of the best teams in the world.

You can watch the match on television on Truesport 3 at 4:30pm.

The past tense of win is won.
The past tense of lose is lost.

The Cuban women are taller than the Thai women.
The Thai women are shorter than the Cuban women.

The Thai team won. It beat the Cuban team. You can also say that the Thai team defeated the Cuban team.
