Teacher shot dead in Pattani

A teacher was killed in a drive-by shooting Pattani’s Muang district on Saturday morning, police said.

The victim, identified as Manote Chadarat, 38, a teacher at Decha Pattayanukul in Muang District. He was attacked at the Nawang intersection in tambon Jabang Tiko of Muang Pattani municipality, while riding a motorcycle to his school.

Manote was shot three times in the head and body and died at the scene.

Police blamed separatist militants.

    It is so sad to see the problems in the South continue.
    I hope a resolution can be reached soon and all the bloodshed end.

    There were many teachers got kill in the southern provinces of Thailand but there's no one has been caught to the custody. First thing with no reason and police is always blaming at the separatist militants. This place is really need security for teachers and for all Thais who live there.
