Catch me if you can!

Montessori with a twist
14 Dec 2010 : The Montessori Academy Bangkok is a trilingual, early learning centre for children 1.5 to 6 years of age, and as the name implies, bases its curriculum on the pedagogic method developed by the renowned Italian physician and educator, Maria Montessori (1870-1952).
Dr Virachai on Education Reform
14 Dec 2010 : Editor’s note: The following is a portion of a speech by Dr Virachai Techavijit, founder and chairman of The Regent’s School. Because the purpose of the written document was to serve as detailed notes of an oral presentation, it has been edited only slightly for clarification and no attempt has been made to bring the document in line with the style guidelines of the Bangkok Post. Also, since the full text contains over 3,000 words, readers who wish to read the full text of the speech are invited to go to http://tinyurl.com/3x3jur9.
Teaching with HEART
The 'I' message
14 Dec 2010 : Most teachers know that being firm yet loving towards students is not as easy as it sounds, and that it not taught in teacher-training programmes either. The two acts are inherently paradoxical. Attempting to do both at the same time may communicate inconsistency and lead to further confusion in students. If they are not careful, teachers may give the impression that it is okay to be "moody" and to be driven by impulses. This is not what "being firm, yet loving" is all about.

ISB seeks special students

THE CHINGCHOK Hunter
The BODY Show
14 Dec 2010 : The human body is an amazing and complex thing, but most people, for good reasons, have only ever seen a fraction of it - the outside. But inside, it is a completely different story. You are a complex group of systems made up of organs that are, in turn, made up of different tissues that themselves are made up of cells.
THE WRITE Stuff!
To whom it may concern
14 Dec 2010 : Two pronouns that may cause confusion or raise questions on how and when to use each properly are "who" and "whom". To begin, it is important to recognise the difference between subjects and objects in order to know whether to use "who" or "whom". You use "who" when referring to the subject of a clause, and "whom" when referring to the object of a clause. Let's look at some examples that can help to provide additional clarification.
Only Happy Schools Produce Well Rounded Leaders
10 Dec 2010 : Problems of Basic Education Quality

Educa accents quality
30 Nov 2010 : One of the aims of the second stage of the education reform process is to enable Thais to become quality lifelong learners. This involves the creation of quality schools, the presence of suitably qualified school administrators and teachers, the provision of education opportunities for all, and the participation of all the parties in the education sphere.
