สุขุมพันธ์มั่นใจหากเกิดอุทกภัยอีกครั้งกทม.รับน้ำได้แน่นอน เหตุมี 3 อุโมงค์ยักษ์ระบายน้ำคอยช่วย โวงานขุดลอกคลอง-ท่อระบายน้ำเสร็จเกือบ 100%

ม.ร.ว.สุขุมพันธุ์ บริพัตร ผู้ว่าราชการกรุงเทพมหานครกล่าวเปิดงานเสวนาโครงการ “เสริมสร้างยุทธศาสตร์การบริหารจัดการน้ำภาคประชาชน” ที่โรงแรมมิราเคิลแกรนด์ ว่า กทม.มีนโยบายบริหารงานด้วยความปลอดภัย โดยการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชน เพื่อช่วยดูแลความปลอดภัยให้กับชุมชน ทั้งนี้ เมื่อปลายปี 54 กทม.ประสบปัญหาอุทกภัยในหลายพื้นที่ ดังนั้น จึงนำบทเรียนดังกล่าวมาแก้ไขเพื่อรับมือภัยพิบัติ

BMA confident flooding this year under control

Sukhumbhand is confident if flooding reoccurs this year, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will definitely be able to cope with the flood water since it has three giant drainage tunnels to help. (He also) boasted that the dredging of canals and drainage pipes is almost 100% complete.

Bangkok Governor M.R. Sukhumband Paribatra delivered the opening speech in a seminar entitled “Reinforcing Civil Sector Strategies for Water Management” at the Miracle Grand Hotel, saying the BMA has a management policy of safety and public participation to help look after the security of its communities, a direct result of the problems experienced by many communities during the floods late last year (2011). Thus, the BMA has taken corrective measures (learned) from these aforementioned lessons in order to cope with (future) calamities.
