มหาวิทยาลัยแคนาดาจับมือสองบริษัทเทคโนโลยีชั้นนำของสหรัฐ คิดค้นพัฒนาจนประสบความสำเร็จในการประดิษฐ์ “เปเปอร์ แท็บส์” ที่มีคุณสมบัติเทียบเท่ากระดาษ พร้อมหน้าจอแสดงผล 10.7 นิ้ว

พูดให้เข้าใจง่ายขึ้นก็คือ เป็นแท็บเล็ตเครื่องแรกของโลกที่ทั้งบางเบา และม้วนงอได้ แถมไม่มีวันแตกเสียหายเด็ดขาด หากเผลอทำร่วงหล่นหลุดมือ

ทั้งนี้ ภายใต้ความร่วมมือของมหาวิทยาลัยควีนส์แห่งแคนาดา กับบริษัท พลาสติก โลจิกส์ และอินเทล แล็บส์ “เปเปอร์ แท็บส์” คือผลงานนวัตกรรมล่าสุดที่สะท้อนให้เห็นอุปกรณ์แท็บเล็ตในโลกอนาคตว่าจะมี หน้าตาไม่ต่างกับกระดาษขนาด A4 ที่แสดงผลหรือเชื่อมต่อกับโปรแกรมต่างๆ

Unveiled: the 'PaperTabs’ look, a paper-thin tablet

A Canadian university in collaboration with US private (companies) have developed “paper tabs’, the first tablet in the world which is as thin as a piece of paper.

A Canadian university has joined hands with two leading American technology companies to devise, develop and ultimately achieve success in the invention of “Paper tabs’, possessing the characteristics of a piece of paper together with a 10.7 inch screen.

In simpler terms, this is the first tablet in the world which is thin, bendable, and absolutely unbreakable if it accidentally slips out of your hands.

The result of the collaboration of Queen’s University in Canada and the companies Plastic Logic and Intel Labs, ‘Paper tabs’ is the latest innovation reflecting the look of the tablet in the world of the future with an appearance no different from a piece of A4 paper which displays or connects with other applications.
