High above Beijing, a mountain started growing.
A house in the sky
Six years ago, a very rich man in Beijing, China bought an apartment in a tall building.
He really wanted to live in the mountains, however, so he started building his own big mountain right on top of the building.
He put in rocks and trees and gardens above his own apartment which started to look like a mountain cave.
Here is a closer look at the house in the sky.
He kept building and building. He was happy, but his neighbours below were not. They did not like the noise of the construction, nor the noisy parties that the man sometimes had there.
But since he was a rich, powerful man, they didn't know how to stop him.
Finally, however, the Beijing government ordered him to stop. Building a mountain on top of a building is against the law without government permission.
They ordered the man to remove the mountain within 15 days.
Yesterday, six workers were seen slowly taking the mountain apart.
