Memorial concert for HRH the late Princess Galyani

Chulalongkorn University will join the whole nation in biding farewell to HRH the late Princess Galyani Vadhana, in a concert titled Prakompleng Pralengtawai.

The concert will take place tomorrow at 7:30pm, at the Thailand Cultural Centre, and will be graciously presided over by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

It is being organised by Chulalongkorn University Radio Station and supported by PTT Chemicals.

The performance will feature eight musical works specially written in memory of the late princess, by Thailand's leading composers who are well-known in international music circles, namely; Dr Narongrit Dhamabutra, Somtow Sucharitkul, Nat Yontararak, Narong Prangcharoen, Apisit Wongchoti, Trisdee na Patalung and S. Peace Nistades.

The concert will be performed by the Chulalongkorn University Symphony Orchestra under the Royal Patronage of HRH the late Princess Galyani Vadhana.

The orchestra will perform under the baton of Nora-ath Chanklum, the orchestra's resident conductor.

All the pieces to be performed at the concert have been collected on a CD titled Prakompleng Pralengtawai, which will be given to VIP guests as an official memento at the Royal Cremation.
