A much talked about film, The Age of Stupid, will open the "British Film Festival 2009" at SF World Cinema, CentralWorld on December 3, at 7pm.

The festival promises seven of the best British creative works from the celluloid world. Featured films will include The Age of Stupid, a documentary-drama-animation hybrid that poses the question: "Why didn't we stop climate change when we still had the chance?"; the award-winning It's a Free World by celebrated British director Ken Loach, who also directed Looking for Eric starring Eric Cantona; Is Anybody There? featuring Michael Caine as a retired magician directed by John Crowley, the same producer of Harry Potter; and The Boat that Rocked, an ensemble comedy directed by Richard Curtis from Love Actually. Also, don't miss out on the fun with Thomas & Friends narrated by Pierce Brosnan and Airplay UK, a round-up of some of the very best work in music videos produced in Britain. The festival is until December 11. Tickets are 100 baht, at SF World Cinema. Admission is free for Thomas & Friends and Airplay UK only. Call 02-657-5601, or visit http://www.britishcouncil.or.th.
