Visitors to the coastal town of Da Nang in Vietnam will have another option to take in breathtaking views of the Han River at night thanks to the Danang International Fireworks Festival, which will light up the sky from June 8 to July 13 to celebrate the arrival of the summer.
Set against a backdrop of the Han River and Novotel Danang Premier Han River, the spectacular five-week firework show is designed around the "Made In Unity" theme to inspire communities with a message of peace, friendship and humanity.
This year, there are teams from eight countries -- France, Italy, Germany, Poland, China, Finland, United States and Vietnam. Each night, teams will showcase their creativity with a 20-minute firework display based on different themes such as "Made Of Unique Culture", "Made Of Nature Wisdom", "Made Of Love Inspiration", "Made Of Fairytales" and "Made Of Young Generation".
The opening ceremony and grand finale will be broadcast live on Vietnamese TV and winners will receive US$35,000 (1.2 million baht).
This annual firework festival was first staged in 2008 in an effort to establish Da Nang as a Fireworks Festival City and a top destination in Vietnam and Asia. Every year, this spectacular festival attracts more than one million tourists and generates millions of dollars for the city's tourism industry. Visitors can also expand their trip by exploring the Golden Bridge or enjoy thrilling attractions and exciting performances at Sun World Ba Na Hills. This summer, the park is gearing up for several exciting new events and activities, such as a unique musical circus show featuring stars from around the world.
