To honour photography master Pornsak Sakdaenprai as part of ‘Seeking Forgotten Thai Photographers’ project on neglected artists hitherto unrecorded by Thai photographic history, Kathmandu Photo Gallery presents a photo exhibition of 30 black and white photographic prints taken by Pornsak Sakdaenprai between 1965 and 1967.
Pornsak Sakdaenprai’s Pornsilp Photo Studio achieved success by transforming young farmers from a small Isan town into glamorous look thung gods and goddesses.
A photo exhibition by Pornsak Sakdaenprai will show at Kathmandu Photo Gallery from July 7 to Aug 27. The opening reception is on July 7 at 6.30 pm.
The gallery is located on Pan Road (near Indian temple), Silom, and is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11am-7pm. Call 02-234-6700.
