Chiang Mai's Sangdao Performing Arts School (Spas) presents a charity dance performance with titled "The Nutcracker And The Mouse King" which is originally written by E.T.A. Hoffman in 1816. The Nutcracker is about a young girl, Clara, who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince and a fierce battle against the evil Mouse King. Spas will present a special version of The Nutcracker, which will combine ballet, acting and live music to entertain the audience throughout a two-hour show. The Nutcracker charity dance performance will take place on Dec 9 at 1pm-3pm and 6pm-8pm at the Chiang Mai College of Dramatic Arts' theatre. Tickets cost 500, 650 and 750 baht (students 100 baht) from Sangdao Performing Arts School, 3rd floor EQ Square Building on Chiang Mai-Hangdong Road. The proceeds will go to Support the Children Foundation, a non-governmental organisation that supports abandoned children with Aids and promotes the campaign to stop HIV/Aids transmission.
