Active Management Asia is organising the "Columbia Trail Masters Championship 2013" at the Horseshoe Point Resort in Pattaya on Jan 13 starting at 7.15am.

Trail running is an eco-friendly outdoor activity which is becoming increasingly popular around the world. It's considered a great sport and adventure as it integrates physical and mental endurance with nature.

The upcoming event will offer three distances _ a 21.5km off-road half marathon for those aged over 16 years, a 10km trail run for anyone aged over 12 years and a 4km fun run/walk for families and children.

The route travels along scenic trails exploring the mountains, farmland and greenery of the Pattaya countryside.

Registration should be made the day before race day, on Jan 12.

The entry fee is 1,200 baht (800 baht for pre-registration before Jan 11) for the half marathon and 1,000 baht (650 baht for pre-registration before Jan 11) for the trail run. The fun run/walk is 150 baht per adult (free for children aged up to 14 years).

Registration can be made at the Columbia shop at Central Rama IX, Megabangna and Outlet Mall Pattaya, as well as the Active Management Asia office in Bangkok (tel 02-718-9581) before Jan 6.
