Information

Later this month, a new version of Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus will be staged at Mahidol University. For the Mahidol production, the setting has been changed from Vienna in 1890 to Bangkok in 2012 and several other little twists have been added to the hilarious plot. The operetta will be directed by Pattarasuda Anuman Rajadon who has previously supervised such productions as Dido & Aeneas, The Threepenny Opera and Il Campanello. Die Fledermaus will be staged at Mahidol University's College of Music on Jan 17, 18 and 19, starting at 7pm, with an additional 2pm matinee on Jan 18. Tickets cost 150, 250, 500, 750 and 1,000 baht. Call 02-800-2525-34 ext 153-4 for more information.
