It captured the hearts of the audience last November and many demanded to see it one more time. This was enough to make creative director Pradit Somdungjait and producer Marut Sarowat decide to bring Koh Lang Wang The Musical: Ruk Nee Khue Nirand back to Sala Chalermkrung Theatre for 10 more shows starting next Friday.
The musical is a transformation of the annual "Koh Lang Wang" gig which has delighted fans of '60s and '70s Western music for 17 years.
The cast will remain the same with veteran songstress Maneenuch Smerasut as the protagonist, Rose, who recalls her teenage years when two men tried to win her heart while her good friend helped her handle them.
The musical will be staged at Sala Chalermkrung Theatre from March 15 to 31. Show time is 7pm on Fridays, 2pm and 7pm on Saturdays, and 2pm on Sundays.
There are two charity performances _ on March 15 at 7pm to raise funds for the provision of medical equipment for the Police General Hospital, and on March 24 at 2pm to raise funds for the Sai Jai Thai Foundation.
Tickets cost 1,000, 1,500, 2,000 and 2,500 baht and can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major booths.
