Information
Koi Art Gallery presents "Inner Soul", an exhibition of the latest art works by critically acclaimed Thai artist Attasit Pokpong whose close-up portraits depict the beauty of the Asian women, both inside and out.
His works are unmistakably oriental in their features, but universal in their unassuming beauty which appeals to all viewers.
Dotting his canvases with oriental features, eye-catching colours, playful mischievousness, dripping sensuality and approachable yet intimidating hypnotic eyes, there hides a deeper meaning beyond the surface of each face.
The artist aims to capture Asian women's persona, inner strength, mysterious gaze, and most importantly, her inner soul through the colours and stroke of his paintbrush.
"Women, men and children will express their true feelings through their faces. When we see them, their faces and eyes will disclose how they feel," explains Attasit.
His portraits display not only his expert ability to compose realistic, visually entrancing paintings, but also his ability to convey emotions.
Once exposed to Attasit's dynamic faces, viewers quickly migrate towards his works as if pulled by a magnetic current.
Inner Soul is on display at Koi Art Gallery from tomorrow until March 31. The gallery is located on Sukhumvit Soi 31 (Soi Sawaddee) and opens daily from 11am to 7pm. Call 02-662-3218.
