The ‘Parliamo Nat Studio!!’ recital will be performed by students at Sala Sudasiri Sobha on April 18 at 7.30pm.
The Gift of Life Foundation and Nat Studio present "Parliamo Nat Studio!!", a piano recital which will mark the premiere concert of the institute's 2013 Italy tour. It will be performed by its students at Sala Sudasiri Sobha concert hall on Lat Phrao Soi 41 on April 18 at 7.30pm.
Every two years, Nat Studio organises a cultural tour for its students to travel abroad to broaden their horizons and learn more about Western culture in order to understand more about classical music.
The upcoming Italy tour represents the school's third trip to Europe. In the past, the students not only improved their playing, but also their personalities. They learned much more about cultures through direct experience.
The group will give five concerts in different cities across Italy from Trieste to Sicily, and will also cross to Croatia to perform.
The students range from nine years old to adults and most of them have participated in piano competitions and have been prize winners.
This group will be joined by Dr Tretip Kamolsiri, one of Nat Yontararak's earliest batch of students and the host of Dontreetip, a classical music programme on Chula Radio.
The upcoming recital will be the premiere concert of their tour before they fly to Italy. The programme comprises repertoires ranging from popular Western classical numbers such as Bach's Two-part Invention No.6 In E-Major, Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu, Mozart's Sonata In C-Major K 330 (first movement), Pieczonka's Tarantella, Beethoven's Rondo A Capriccio, Grieg's To The Spring, to arrangements of King Rama IX's compositions by Nat Yontararak, Kham Waan (Sweet Words) and Saeng Tien (Candlelight Blues).
In addition, Dr Tretip will perform a traditional Thai song, Sai Yok (Sam Chan), arranged by Col Choochart Pitaksakorn, a National Artist. Admission to the concert is free, but donations will be greatly appreciated. Proceeds will go to the Gift of Life Foundation.
It is advisable to go to Sala Sudasiri Sobha through Lat Phrao Soi 35 and follow the signs.
