The 11th ‘Sky Clinic’ offers free health check-ups at the Sanam Pao BTS station this Thursday to Sunday.

A skytrain commuter or not, this weekend you can be examined by medical staff and find out how healthy or unhealthy you are, not at a hospital but the Sanam Pao BTS station. And it's free of charge.

The BTS SkyTrain, in cooperation with leading hospitals and health institutes in Bangkok, are organising the 11th "Sky Clinic", which will provide free health check-ups at the Sanam Pao BTS station from 10am to 5pm on Thursday, and 9am to 4pm from Friday to Sunday.

Held to promote an awareness of basic health care, this four-day event will offer more than 20 medical examinations covering eight major areas. These are diabetes, heart disease, cancer, eye disease, bones and joints, Thai traditional medicine and alternative medicine, liver disease and gynaecology. Opening day will feature a discussion on "Office Syndrome and Acupuncture" at 10am. The speaker is Col Dr Wipoo Kumnerddee, a specialist from Rehabilitative Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine of Phra Mongkutklao Hospital, with Arisara Kamthorncharoen as moderator.

The hospitals and health centres sending their medical teams to offer their services include Kluaynamthai, Chulabhorn, St Louis, Vibhavadi, Chaophya, Mettapracharak, Ladprao, Nonthavej, Vichaivej International Nongkhaem, and Samitivej Thon Buri.

Thai Traditional Medicine College, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, RSU Healthcare and the Liver Foundation will also join.

Everyone is invited to participate. Entry coupons are available only at the Sanam Pao BTS station.

Contact the BTS hotline on 02-617-6000.
