"Trans-structurity" at 338 OIDA Gallery is a new project by Thasnai Sethaseree, an emerging artist who was educated in Chicago.
It reflects the concept of fear through sculptures, installations, two-dimensional images and light-box pieces.
By blurring boundaries between disciplines, the ephemeral nature of this project makes visible the impurity of fear, and turns it into a temporary moment that can be continually changed.
The crucial questions this project raises are centred around the politics of fear and suppression in relation to risks represented and misrepresented by institutional agencies, to our understanding of how realistic the politically fearful climate of paranoia and distrust is.
Trans-structurity will be on show at the 338 OIDA Gallery from June 7 to Aug 31. The opening ceremony is on June 6 at 6pm. The gallery is located on the 4th floor of Pongamorn Building, RamaIV Road and opens Wednesday to Sunday from 1pm to 5pm. Call 090-198-8749.
