Renowned Belgian photographer Luc Dratwa's debut exhibition in Thailand, a new series of work called "Subway", opens at La Lanta Fine Art tomorrow.
With its content based in the city of Manhattan, the exhibition seeks out the simplicity and peaceful beauty of everyday urban life. "Subway" comes as part of a finely honed artistic process aimed at shining a modern light on the subway as you have never seen before.
The exhibition reveals a harmony of lines, forms, rhythms and contrasts that is nothing short of faultless. This profound, personal vision proves that beauty is everywhere, even in the metal framework of a train carriage, the perspective of a tunnel, and the light of a deserted platform.
Subway will be on show at La Lanta Fine Art from tomorrow until July 4. The opening reception is tomorrow at 5pm. The gallery is located on Sukhumvit Soi 31 and is open every Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 7pm. Call 02-204-0581.
