Music lovers will take a trip down memory lane during a music festival which will revive the classic hits of Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Tom Jones, The Carpenters, Sherbet, The Bee Gees, and Motown artists.
Back by popular demand for the fifth year, the "Seacon Retro Music Farang Jang" festival will see popular Thai singers of the good old days performing music from the 1960s to 1980s at Fountain Court, 1st floor of Seacon Square from Friday to Sunday.
The festival will commence with an Elvis show on Friday at 5pm. Impersonator Sattawat Tungkarat will mark the 36th anniversary of Presley's death with the timeless numbers such as Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes and Love Me Tender. The same evening will feature Jaruk Viriyakit performing famous songs by Jones and the legendary Engelbert Humperdinck.
The festival will continue on the weekend starting at 2pm. It will see The Betters celebrating The Beatles' 50th anniversary by performing some hits from the group's two best-selling albums that topped the chart in 1963 such as She Loves You, Twist And Shout, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Please Please Me, Help!, Rubber Soul, Let It Be and Abbey Road.
The line-up of artists includes Vertigo performing music of The Three Degrees and The Stylistics, The Green Apple and Orawan Wisetpong performing The Carpenters' songs, The Drivers playing songs from the 1970s, and The Lemonade and The Brazilian Dancers performing music of Latin rock legend Santana.
