Thailand's style event of the year starts tomorrow
It has been 15 years, but Elle Fashion Week is still very much on-trend. Following its first foray into spring/summer in March, Elle Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2013 will bring rainbows in the rainy season from tomorrow until Sunday at CentralWorld.
This time, Elle Thailand is teaming up with Samsung, TRESemme, Chevrolet, W Bangkok, Bobbi Brown, CentralWorld, PM Center and the Bangkok Post to reaffirm the magazine's status as the Kingdom's authority on fashion.
Highlights include an exclusive day for men's fashion shows, featuring hot items from 4X4 Man, Painkiller and Theatre.
"Fashion Fresh Faces" including Tutti, Patinya and Thea by Thara will also bring new flavours to the event. Participants can expect to see the launch of a new publication that will change the face of men's fashion and lifestyle in Thailand.
Sirimon Na Nagara, Post International Media managing director, said: "We aim to be a fashion authority, and for us, fashion is all around. Therefore, we have been producing new events surrounding various angles of fashion including Elle Fashion Film Festival 2013, which was the first of its kind in the country.
"But, of course, Elle Fashion Week is still our long-time signature event."
Panu Sombatyanuchit, Elle Thailand editor-in-chief, added: "It's apparent that Elle Fashion Week is now considered to be Thailand's iconic fashion event and there is always a special element in every show that we do. For this year, we have selected three brands for 'Fashion Fresh Faces'. They have great talent and distinctive creativity, but have yet to show their work in an international level. In addition, previous young designers such as Kemissara and Vatanika will return to the catwalk with a full show."
Elle Fashion Week 2013 Autumn/Winter at CentralWorld will also showcase Playhound, Vatit Itthi, Tipayaphongpoosanaphong, Something Boudoir, Hook's By Prapakas, Vatanika, Kemissara, Theoddysee, Curated by Ek Thongprasert, and Milin.
Shows will take place under the iconic white tent from tomorrow until Sunday in front of CentralWorld.
