Two of the world's most celebrated acoustic guitarists, Tommy Emmanuel and Martin Taylor, will be pairing up for a concert in Bangkok on Oct 28.
Australian guitar legend Tommy and British virtuoso Martin are both familiar faces to Thai guitar lovers, having performed here on several occasions during the past five years. Tommy showcased his fingerstyle technique to Thai fans a year ago, while Martin had an intimate gig in Bangkok last December.
The upcoming show is the first time we will see them performing, side by side, some new tracks from their debut collaboration, The Colonial & The Governor, which was released early this year.
The duo's collection of favourite jazz standards and pop classics comprises 14 tracks which will be performed for the first time at M Theatre on Oct 28.
The repertoire includes I Won't Last A Day Without You, Jersey Bounce, Bernie's Tune, A Smooth One, True, Heat Wave, One Day, Lullaby Of Birdland, and The Nearness Of You.
The Duo SwingTommy Emmanuel & Martin Taylor Live In Bangkok will take place at M Theatre, New Phetchaburi Road, on Oct 28 at 8 pm. Tickets cost 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 and 5,000 baht and can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major booths or by calling 02-203-0423. Visit www.facebook.com/PMGTHAI for more information.
