Information

Nicolas Collinet, Jonas Dept and Matthieu Normand believe in reaching out to the audience in their live shows. They will do just that in their upcoming piano concert. The ‘‘6 Mains 1 Piano’’ concert will feature jazz, tango and other popular music played in a rare and spectacular fashion —six hands on one piano—at Alliance Francaise Bangkok on Jan 9 at 7.30pm. The French and Belgian artists—all ofwhomare francophones — share a profound love of music. Collinet entered the Conservatoire National de Region Marseille in 1994 and, after obtaining the prestigious Rotary award in 2001, studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Belgium. Normand studied at the Conservatoire a Rayonnement Regional (CRR) of Reims in France before attending the Boulogne-Billancourt CRR. Dept, who is Belgian, was awarded first prize in music theory, piano and ensemble by the Higher Institute of Music and Music Education in Namur, Belgium, and attended the master’s degreeprogramme at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Alliance Francaise Bangkok is located on Witthayu Road. Tickets cost 450 baht (300 baht for membersandstudents). Email chalanthorn.kidthang@alliancefrancaise.or.th or call 02-670-4231.
