Information

When the health snob in you kicks in and you can’t think of any snug places that can satisfy those health-food cravings, think Green — literally. Aptly named, this petite restaurant and salad bar situated in a cosy little corner on Sathon Soi 8 opened last October and its pleasant and convenient location attracts throngs of expats and office workers in search of veggies and something green every lunchtime. Green’s rustic, organic and farm-like atmosphere is created by the décor’s earthen tones and wooden bar and furniture. Its atmosphere exudes a calm ambience and is reminiscent of that of a fresh and hip cottage where you can enjoy your meal with your thoughts. Don’t despair if the long bar of fresh vegetable toppings seem like an overwhelming task to choose from as there are also signature salads, sandwiches, soups, crepes, stews and an assortment of meats to point to. Regardless of the vegetable — whether locally sourced or Royal Project — it’s all there, as are a great offering of protein-rich foods, all deliciously well-marinated, such as curried chicken, Thai BBQ pork and Oriental pork, roasted with sesame oil. There’s even Isan sausage. The little glasshouse also has a wide variety of breads, including ciabatta, focaccia, panini and pita bread. Green also has a take-away and delivery option. Call 02-636-6222. Open Mon-Fri 10am- 9pm, Sat 10am-8pm. Park on nearby streets. Most credit cards accepted.
