Musical works composed by four Silpathorn artists — Nat Yontararak, Narongrit Dhamabutra, Den Euprasert and Narong Prangcharoen — will be performed at the National Theatre Bangkok on Saturday at 2pm. The “Kita Silpathorn Concert” is presented by the Ministry of Culture’s Office of Contemporary Art and Culture (OCAC) with the aim to mark the 10th anniversary of Silpathorn Award, an award presented annually to Thai contemporary artists since 2004. The afternoon programme will comprise Northeast (Allegretto Scherzando) from Siam Sonata and Glowing Dawn And Glory (Adagio Con Espressione) composed by Nat, Starlight For String Orchestra and Phaya Soke Concerto by Narongrit, Generatraix and Concerto For Piano And Orchestra by Den, and Rhythms Of Nan by Narong. The compositions will be performed by the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Vanich Potavanich. The ensemble will be joined by the two pianists Nat and Den. Guest artists will be Natchar Pancharoen and Pawalai Tanchanpong on piano and Damrih Banawitayakit on oboe. Vocalists Tippawan Pinpibal and national artist Banyen Rakkaen will delight audiences with Thai songs. There is no admission fee. The National Theatre is on Rachinee Road.
