Opened in 1987, the Thailand Cultural Centre is a national level performing arts venue located off Rama 9 and Ratchadapisek roads in Bangkok.
The centre is made up of two auditoriums and one outdoor stage. This venue is used for a wide variety of live performances all year round. The Main Hall is a 2,000-seat auditorium, and is used for stage presentations, concerts and conferences. The Small Hall is a 500-seat multi-purpose auditorium, which is combined intrinsically by a 1,000-seat outdoor amphitheatre.
There is also a Social Education and Exhibition Building which accommodates a cultural library and the Thai Life Permanent Exhibition. Additionally, the location also holds the Japanese Pavilion and the Thai Pavilion.
