The annual Chinese Monkey Feast will be taking place on the last Sunday of November (28th) in Lop Buri. This event mixes religious belief with tourism as the event is held at the Phra Phrang Sam Yod Buddhist temple in honour and worship of a particular spirit thought to be symbolised by monkeys. Many tourists come to watch as hundreds of wild monkeys (normally seen roaming through the town of Lop Buri unhindered) come to be fed with a lavish spread of food.
