If you enjoy art taking on a new dimension, don't miss the cutting-edge multimedia exhibition titled "From Monet To Kandinsky" at River City Bangkok (RCB) Galleria, between April 26 and July 31.

The much anticipated international art event promises to bring to life a number of globally acclaimed artists' masterpieces, showcasing Western art history at its best. Bangkok is the first Asian city where this immersive multimedia art exhibition is being shown.

Developed by Visual Multimedia Projects, an international company with expertise in modern multimedia formats, "From Monet To Kandinsky" brings together 16 of the most respected artists in Western art history under one roof. Considered the masters of modernism, selected works are displayed in large scale in the 1,200m² Contemporary Art Space on the 2nd floor. This immersive exhibition is unique in its presentation. For one, the latest digital technology in projection and surround sound is being used to transport spectators on a journey of discovery.

Marvel at the works of masters who pioneered modern art and established diverse movements such as Impressionism, Expressionism and Suprematism.

The list of such maestros includes Claude Monet, Paul Gaugin, Gustav Klimt, Piet Mondrian, Vincent van Gogh, Edvard Munch, Kazimir Malevich and Wassily Kandinsky, to name but a few.

If there is one thing that rings common in the lives of each of these artists, it is the fact that they all were open to change. They opted to embrace the future, with its innovative and experimental art forms, materials and techniques, in order to capture the tremendous upheavals of their time. This gathering is an exploration of the art world during the late 19th to the early 20th century, when culture and society were going through a tumultuous revolution.

Multiple activities will be staged over the 26-week exhibition. Concurrent activities such as workshops and talks as well as dance and musical performances, to entertain and educate visitors, will be offered.

There will also be talks by national and international art and history scholars.

This entertaining format of presenting the world of art's most recognised personalities will surely help provide a deeper understanding of art and creativity.
