Buffaloes have had a lasting influence on Thai culture and beliefs and historically have represented positive attributes. A leading young Thai artist will pay tribute to the animals in his solo exhibition which opens on Saturday.
Buffalo’s Heart will be on show at Thavibu Gallery from Saturday until July 13. The opening is on Saturday at5pm, followed by a performance which includes a video screening and live Isanmusicanddances. Thegallery is located on the 4th floor of Silom Galleria and is open Monday to Saturday from11amto 7pm. Call 02-266-5454.
The upcoming "Buffalo's Heart" showcases photos and mosaics by Maitree Siriboon, an artist from the Isan region who uses the buffalo as a symbol from a cultural and historical perspective.
