18 Dec 2013 : Plato and Pythagoras and Fibonacci studied organic patterns to explain the natural order of things. In modern perceptions, repetitive patterns are present in everything, in man-made structures and in the stripes of a zebra, in the symmetry of a snowflake and in fractals of a Romanesco broccoli, in the meanders of a brain coral and in the ripples of a sand dune. Artist Nucharin Wangphongsawasd draws from this idea of repetitive patterns to create works for her first solo exhibition, "Echoes In Wood", now on display at Serindia Gallery.
