Swift sensation

Get the hot red-carpet makeup look from the songstress

On stage, America's latest favourite country pop siren Taylor Swift may go for a natural, rosy-cheek-and-peachy nude-lips look to fit her melodious strums _ and it hardly betrays her blonde locks and barely-out-of-teenage-years bloom. However, Swift stepped out recently at the Met Gala in a new, more grown-up look that transforms her from late adolescent to full-blown woman in ravishing copper smoky eyes and fire brick red lips, with her signature wavy mane tied back to reveal her flawless face.

It's surely too bold a look to go for in daytime. Flawless complexion, striking eyes and the right lip application are key to achieve it. The easiest way to handle all skin problems without the fuss of concealer and foundation is undoubtedly BB cream, which has seen endorsement from various international counter brands recently. That means you can now enjoy a large variety of BB creams even though you're not a fan of Korean labels. Whatever you choose, finish it with a matt loose powder.

One reason to quicken up the skin process is to give you some more time with the most important work _ the eyes. Swift's smokey lids are a combination of brown and copper, with a subtle metallic touch to give the look an even more seductive appeal. Gradually mix your copper eyeshadow upwards to the crease, and half of the bottom lid, and use black eyeliner for an extra accent. Lush, voluminous lashes are a must, whether fake or mascara-enhanced. Finish the part with some few glitter on the inner corner of the lid. Remember to use very, very little since the sparkle is meant to be subtle and not outspoken.
