Hair care from the heart

Thunyanun Thumathananun makes sure the hair treatments at her salon are kind to the customers' hair as much as to the therapists' hands

Thunyanun Thumathananun loved pampering her hair at the salon, but it usually involved inevitable inconveniences. "I didn't like the strong smell of hair spray, the loud buzzing sound of the hair dryer and the burning sensation on my scalp when using hair-colouring products," recalled the beautiful managing director of Salon la Prairie.

That was just an opinion, but the idea to open a salon of her own was later inspired by her clients at Salon la Prairie, Gaysorn Plaza, who usually had problems with their hair style after a face massage, and could not find a good salon nearby. She combined the opportunity that there was an open space near the existing shop with her secret yearning to finally create a "green" salon that offers a healthy and happy experience. "Without the loud noise of the hair dryers, you don't have to shout in order for the hair dresser to hear you!" she laughed.

Looking for the right space to open her salon required luck, but looking for the right products required a big sacrifice _ her own hair. "I did a lot of research. I tried all the recommended brands on my own head. Imagine what my hair had to go through!" said Thunyanun.
