Health and beauty sector more attractive

The health and beauty sector expects robust growth of at least 20% to a value of more than 200 billion baht this year, led by a positive outlook for herbal products, says Deputy Commerce Minister Siriwat Kachornprasart.

He said becoming a regional health and beauty hub would mean more revenue for the country. The export outlook for the sector is also good.

The sector could grow by 30% if there is no repeat of last year's flooding, as opportunity lies with several types of local herbs, said Mr Siriwat.
