Many people regard books on dhamma, the teachings of the Lord Buddha, as rather unpalatable; bitter medicine, you might say.
But some writers have a way of getting the message across in a way that is both entertaining and enlightening.
New-generation local publisher A Thing Book is all set to launch a dhamma title in cartoon format. Entitled Songsai Mai? Dhamma Buddhadasa _ Chen Nan Ang, it is credited to Chayajit, pen name for Chaipat Thongkhambunjong. The colourful illustrations are provided by cartoonists Ruengsak and Veerachai Duangpla (aka The Duang), a father and son whose work has won them awards both at home and abroad.
