Bookworms will enjoy a new shopping experience at the annual book fair which will kick off March 28.

The ‘National Book Fair & Bangkok International Book Fair’ is back.

Organised by the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand (Pubat), the “42nd National Book Fair & 12th Bangkok International Book Fair” will return to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, where all kinds of books will be for sale.

Titles will be organised on “Book Roads”, which will gather a specific genres, including “indie” literature, children’s books, young adult fiction and rare books.

Running daily from 10am to 9pm until April 7, the 11-day fair will feature more than 900 booths from 430 local publishing houses and 40 booths from 37 publishers from France, Germany, the US, Canada, Taiwan, South Korea, Iran and Singapore.

This year’s theme is “The World is a Novel”, which is also the title of an exhibition on how novels have influenced the world.

Other highlights include the “What
I Have Seen: The World of Sri Burapha’s Novels” exhibition which presents the late author’s literary genius and artistic motivations, the “Play More, Learn More, Gateway to Suvarnabhumi” exhibition by Museum Siam, the “Read Your Neighbours, Read Their Literature” exhibition by the Writers Association of Thailand and the “Book Wonderland” reading zone.There will also be many other activities to promote reading.
