When the party's over and there's nowhere to go ...

Political rallies have left behind more homeless people, according to a social issues group

Political rallies may come and go and create great changes in society, but they leave behind a growing number of homeless, according to a non-government organisation which deals with the issue. 

Israchon Foundation secretary-general Natee Saravari said some think it is a far-fetched idea that political protests increase the number of homeless in the capital.

On a road adjacent to Lumpini Park, prostitutes gather as night falls. Media reports say some prostitutes have been assaulted by protest guards and take revenge by having unprotected sex with them, raising alarm about the spread of HIV/Aids. Patipat Janthong
