One NGO is focusing on the hidden plight of teenage boys in Thailand's sex industry

Among the increasingly long list of charities and non-governmental organisations operating in Thailand, Urban Light may be the only one that focuses solely on teenage boys working in the sex industry. 

Life-skills classes help extend the boys’ education.

Based in Chiang Mai, the NGO was founded by Alezandra Russell, a 31-year-old from Washington, DC, after she met Akha hilltribe boy Oi while on a trip to the city as part of her research into global sex trafficking.
