Ending a relationship is becoming more hi-tech
It can all be over with an email or SMS
Technology plays a vital role in countless lives. Apart from serving as an indispensable tool in the world of business or as a major platform for personal communication, technology is now being used by people as a means of breaking-up a relationship.
MeetNLunch, the country's first and leading match-making company, recently conducted a survey and interviewed over 800 single people. Of that total, 70% were female aged between 25-50 while the remaining 30% were male aged between 30-55.
Asked how they would end a relationship, about 50% of respondents said they would end it via the telephone, while 15% chose the more traditional way by telling them face to face.
