Her designs are One-of-a-Kind

ML Rojanatorn na Songkhla hatches a wide variety of custom-made creations while juggling her time between England and Thailand

The Promenade Building on Witthayu Road boasts what is probably the only shop in town where you can find a sofa with its surface made entirely from a constellation of colourful stuffed cartoon characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Elmo and the Cookie Monster. Several of the colourful sofas are placed outside Gub - that's the name of the shop - where they're sure to make heads turn.

"Can we take our picture with them?" asked two women as they walked past the shop.

On the inside the shop is no less intriguing, with more distinctive custom-made furniture scattered about and unique decorative items on the walls. One of the most striking items is a huge chandelier made from layers of clear plastic spoons. The day I went the shop was packed with customers, staff and the two owners - ML Rojanatorn na Songkhla and Kongpat Sakdapitak.
