It's quite an amazing sight to see an eight-month-old, who can't even walk yet, eagerly throw himself into a swimming pool, go under and then resurface with a big happy smile. Even more amazingly, it wasn't just a single baby; the whole class - six or seven children - performed equally well in water and they all clearly adored the activity.
Weekend swimming classes can be excellent ‘Daddy and me’ time for busy working parents.
Infant swimming classes are becoming increasingly popular these days, probably not that surprising a development in a hot country like ours where people love going to the beach and more and more city folk have access to swimming pools.
