Hilton Pattaya has been selected by the premier trade magazine Hospitality Design to receive two exceptional awards: 2011 HD Awards: Luxury/Upscale Hotel and 2011 HD Awards: Open categories.
General manager of Hilton Pattaya Harald Feurstein said that the awards significantly set Hilton Pattaya on the world stage in terms of design and innovation. The awards also show the recognition of the dedication of architectural firms Maar and SODA together with interior designers, Department of Architecture and August Design who have broken new ground in the area of design in Thailand.
Maar and SODA joined forces to create an ultra-modern and contemporary hotel that challenges traditional notions of hotel design while complementing the ambience of its beachside location. Department of Architecture, a Thai-based firm, was responsible for the hotel's striking lobby, bars and restaurants while Bangkok-based August Design created the innovatively-designed conference rooms, ballroom, guest rooms and executive lounge.
