Dillon Berner is working to pass on his passion for basketball to kids in Thailand

The Klong Toey slums are known for many things but basketball clinics aren't one of them.

So it was quite a surprise when Pattaya-based Coast2Coast Basketball did a basketball clinic, one Saturday afternoon earlier this month, at the Klong Toey Community Center for about 80 underprivileged youngsters in the neighbourhood.

For the kids of Klong Toey, there aren't many opportunities to learn and play organized sports. Especially not with foreigners. And while basketball is certainly not the number one sport in Bangkok's largest slum, the event turned out to be a rousing success, surpassing everyone's expectations.
