Welcome to the year 2555. You are probably familiar with 555 if you've ever chatted with a Thai via SMS or MSN or any other combination of those letters.
In Thai the number five is pronounced "ha" and thus three of them in succession sounds like laughter. Try chatting up a Thai via SMS and write something like "I am a handsome young man with a great future ahead of me." The reply will be "555" _ the local equivalent of LOL.
Why am I telling you all this? Oh yes, it's the New Year, and as usual, here is my annual round-up of signs and pictures that held my attention, briefly, over the past 12 months. Being obsessive-compulsive I have ranked them, though in order of what I have no idea. Heck, it's New Year. We can relax a little can't we?
