'Top' happily no longer in poll position

Varawut Silpa-archa says the five-year 'holiday' he was given by the Constitution Court has made him appreciate the simple pleasures of everyday life, but he's ready to take up the family political mantle once his ban is lifted

If Varawut "Top" Silpa-archa could have just one wish, this is what it would be: "I'd really want to give all the judges a kiss on the cheek." He's referring to justices from the Constitution Court who on Dec 2, 2008, disbanded his Chart Thai Party and banned its executives, Top included, from politics for five years.

Top says that thanks to their ruling, he is now enjoying life more than ever. "At first I was very angry at the court," he admits, "but I'm not any more. Now I'm probably the busiest unemployed man on the planet."
