Those wanting to see their own Thai national costume creations shining on the Miss Universe stage have an additional 15 days to work on their designs. The organiser of Miss Universe Thailand has extended the submission deadline of the Thai National Costume Design Contest to Sept 15.
Held under the theme "Creative Thai", the contest is a chance for talented designers to come up with a dress that can perfectly portray a sense of "Thainess" in the international arena.
The winning design will be awarded 20,000 baht. It will then be transformed into a real dress to be worn by Miss Universe Thailand 2012 Nathpimol Nattayaluck, or "Rida", who will compete in the Miss Universe pageant later this year.
