As part of the first-ever Direct Season series on Thailand, BBC World News' premier travel programme Fast Track is on a journey to present its global audience with a multi-faceted look at destinations, rather than a skin-deep, cursory glance.

The series will air from Aug 27 to Sept 7 and will explore how this country is recovering from last year's devastating floods, socially, economically and culturally. But the floods are just a starting point _ the programme's real ambition is to dig into the opportunities and challenges this country faces.
