Appreciating Thai crafts

The Sai Jai Thai Foundation is holding "Sai Jai Thai Week 2012" to promote the beauty of Thai arts and handicraft products made by handicapped family members of the foundation.

Running from tomorrow until Sept 4 at the Peninsula Plaza, the fair will feature a variety of items such as leatherwork, glassware, woodwork, clothing, neckties, scarves, fabric, bags, accessories, home decor and organic vegetables.

The highlight, however, will be the limited edition Thai flutes (klui) made by Ajarn Thanit Sriklindee to celebrate His Majesty the King's seventh cycle birthday. The collection is also engraved with the royal name of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Only 500 pieces are available at the price of 9,999 baht each.
