Terminal love for the airport left behind

Kicked to the kerb for ostentatious and oversized Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang waits patiently for those willing to look beyond its dirt and humble appearance and remember its modest charms

Ran into my old friend Don the other day. Good old Don. We used to see each other all the time back in the day. For a good 15 years or so there was hardly a week that went by where we didn't catch up.

Like so many things in life, I kind of took our friendship for granted. Don was never going to win any Mr Handsome awards; a little chunky but lovable all the same.

In the mid-2000s we started to drift apart, until one day I woke up and Don was pretty much out of my life. That's because I was kind of forced to ditch Don for a younger, sexier, bigger lady in a shimmering evening gown who went by the glitzy name of Suvarnabhumi.

Oddly enough I read Andrew's column on a Monday morning to brighten up the start of the week and I enjoy it.
    Thank you Andrew.

As always a good lighthearted read for a Sunday, either on the internet when working or actually buying the paper when home.
