APP OF THE WEEK
When we have a minor illness like a cough or a fever, some of us go for an over-the-counter drug. If you are not sure about the correct dosage, recheck it with the Ya and You application. If you want to learn more about other drugs you are using, this app can be also helpful.
Created by the Pharmaceutical Research and Development Foundation in collaboration with the National Electronics and Computer Technology Centre (Nectec), this free app provides easy access to basic information about household medicines and other widely-used drugs. To promote good health among the public, the app also offers information about vitamins and minerals, as well as medicine.
By clicking a household medicine button, you will find the names of drugs in English presented in alphabetical order. When selecting a name, paracetamol for example, you will be given details about its generic name, trademark, its different forms (capsule, tablet and syrup) and safe dosage. Usage cautions about each type of medicine are also provided.
