Is lakhon TV a guilty pleasure?

- +

I have a secret crush. He is in high society, handsome and has ties to royalty. He is kind and sensitive with a heart that can melt an iceberg. We spend weekends together sharing tea and relaxing. That's right, I am infatuated with the khunchai from the hit lakhon drama series Suparbburuth Chutathep

Sure, it is a very one-sided relationship. I know lots about him and he knows nothing about me. I know his family, his likes and dislikes and I am all caught up his comings and goings. Although he lives in the imaginary TV land and I live in the real world, I am quite content with the current state of our affair.

I was never an avid lakhon (soap opera) TV follower. When my children were younger, I had no time for TV because I had to care for them. By the time they fell asleep, I was ready to do the same. After they were grown, I concentrated on work, which always involved travelling and out-of-hours to-dos. Also, being in the news business, I have always tuned my TV to current events before browsing for game shows, talk shows or lakhon.
